Bencroy

This route is almost exactly 100km and takes you up Bencroy, a long steady climb in the Sliabh an Iarainn mountain range. The climb starts in the village of Ballinaglera on the shores of Lough Allen and winds its way over the mountain bog with almost zero traffic. At the summit there is a small monument to the Ultachs, displaced people from Ulster who took up residence on the top of the mountain in 1795.
